The Aesthetic Foundation Releases Inaugural ARISE Annual Report in Recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

GARDEN GROVE, CA, Oct. 1, 2025 -- In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Aesthetic Foundation is proud to announce the release of its first annual report for the American Registry for Breast Implant Surveillance and Evaluation (ARISE).
This comprehensive report features data collected from the registry’s launch in 2021, providing valuable insights into trends and outcomes related to breast implants through September 2025. As the first report of its kind from ARISE, it represents a significant accomplishment in The Foundation’s ongoing commitment to advancing patient safety, transparency, and evidence-based care in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery.
The ARISE report includes device data and procedural trends from five distinct cohorts: breast augmentation, revision breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, revision breast reconstruction, and implant removal without replacement. Each surgical procedure is meticulously recorded, with additional detailed data gathered during the operations to ensure a detailed and robust dataset.
To date, over 120,000 devices have been registered within the ARISE registry, representing implants from five leading manufacturers in the United States. Notably, the Star study, conducted on the ARISE platform, is the first clinical study on breast implants to prospectively gather data on patients undergoing breast augmentation surgery.
This innovative registry is a major achievement, as it is the first registry in the United States to directly engage with patients. It offers a lifetime digital wallet that securely stores device and procedural information, enhancing patient care and transparency. For instance, patients can access their digital wallet to review their device information or share it with their healthcare provider for a more informed consultation.
“The Aesthetic Foundation is proud to publish our first annual ARISE report. This is important data for the safety of our patients and advancing breast implant surgery.”

“The publication of the ARISE annual report represents a milestone for The Aesthetic Foundation. Over 120,000 devices have been registered along with detailed procedural data. The Foundation will use this data to further research and education and collaborate with other national and international breast implant registries.”
- Caroline Glicksman, MD, MSJ, Chair ARISE Committee.
