Receiving Patient Assistance Helped Her Feel Whole Again

Candy is a breast cancer survivor who wanted to complete her breast reconstruction surgery, but costs were holding her back. Her surgeon, Scott Barttelbort, MD, was eager to support Candy on her road to recovery, so he applied for The Aesthetic Foundation's Mollenkopf Aesthetic Breast Reconstruction grant on her behalf. “When I was approved for the grant, I jumped for joy and felt like I was going to be a real woman again,” says Candy. “I feel beautiful now. I feel blessed.”
