Overview
We started the James Stuzin Aesthetic Education Excellence Fund to help reduce any financial barriers preventing you from participating in aesthetic education.
This fund covers aesthetic education expenses for:
Travel and registration to aesthetic meetings/symposia sponsored or jointly provided by The Aesthetic Society. Examples of such meetings include: The Aesthetic MEET, Baker Gordon Symposium, Aesthetic Interactive: Facial & Rhinoplasty Symposium, and regional/state meetings, as approved by The Aesthetic Foundation. Applicants may apply for funds to attend only one meeting/symposium located in the United States or Canada, or
Observership experience at the office of an Aesthetic Society and Aesthetic Foundation Active Member
Funding Amount
Up to $2,000 of expenses documented with submitted receipts.
Half of the funds will be provided at the time the grant has been awarded and the remaining half after the applicant has provided the required documents showing attendance at the educational event.
Eligibility
Applicants must be a plastic surgery resident, fellow, or graduate within their 3rd year of completing an accredited plastic surgery residency who wants to pursue advanced aesthetic educational opportunities beyond the resources of their training programs.
Individuals can only receive granted funds from the James Stuzin Aesthetic Education Excellence Fund one time.

Review Process
The Foundation Task Force reviews all applications and awards scholarships to qualified applicants. The number of scholarships and the amount given each year varies based on available funding.
Scholarship Requirements
After completing the educational event, to receive the second half of the awarded grant, successful applicants must submit:
Receipts documenting the use of the funds for the aesthetic meeting/symposium, etc.
Applicants must write a short article explaining how the scholarship helped them pursue their educational goals. The Foundation may publish the article in an issue of Aesthetic Society News and include it as an Impact Story on The Foundation’s social media channels and/or website.
A short thank you note addressed to Dr. James Stuzin in care of The Aesthetic Foundation.
