Mark L. Jewell, MD
Dr. Jewell’s career has been defined by original research, leadership, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to advancing aesthetic medicine. He’s dedicated decades to improving patient outcomes, pioneering new surgical techniques, and raising safety standards—making significant contributions, particularly in the area of breast surgery.
A Past President of The Aesthetic Society and recently retired from his private practice in Eugene, OR, Dr. Jewell has authored more than 125 peer-reviewed publications and delivered countless lectures worldwide. His trailblazing work includes introducing a number of “firsts” in surgical approaches, device development, and safety protocols that have since become standard practice. His work has not only shaped the field of aesthetic surgery but also strengthened the culture of patient-centered care.
Beyond the operating room, Dr. Jewell has been a consistent champion of The Aesthetic Foundation, most notably through his generous support of the Patient Safety Award. His philanthropy reflects his belief that progress in aesthetics must always begin with protecting and prioritizing patients.
